Office hours are by appointment. This provides the most convenient and best service for you. We see patients weekly, on Wednesdays and Fridays, and two Sundays each month. If you do have an emergency, call the office and we will rearrange the scheduled appointments so you can be seen immediately.
Our office is comfortably furnished with the patient and their family members in mind. We try to see you at the appointed time. We believe strongly in the value of your time and we do our best to keep you from having to wait for a long period of time. However, in the specialty of gynecologic oncology, emergency patients may cause unpredictable delays. The receptionist will keep you informed of such delays.
We pride ourselves on being accessible. Communication with the patient, their family, and the referring doctors is of utmost importance. All pap test results are given to the patients by the office staff or by Dr. Resnik. CT scans, ultrasounds, and MRI reports are discussed immediately. There are no "phone trees" in our office. One of our friendly and efficient office staff will pick up the phone when it rings. Return calls are made the same day, usually within an hour. If the doctor is performing surgery, the office staff will tell you so and let you know when you can expect a return call.
Each patient is asked which other doctors should be included in communications by our office. After each patient visit, a fax or e-mail (depending on what the doctor prefers) is sent the same day to the referring doctor, the primary doctor, and any specialist the patient designates to receive correspondence. In that way, the physicians who play an important role in the patient's well being will know the results of our encounters.
